PHOTOGRAPHING ARTWORKS, MAPS & DOCUMENTS
I offer a high quality photographic reproduction service of artworks, maps and large documents for artists, collectors, archives and anyone who has a need for digital copies of large scale pieces.
Some of the images shown here are by Scottish artist Eric Ritchie. They were photographed for use in gallery catalogues and were used both in print and online. Some of these can be seen here.

How it works.
I find that each job is very different and I am always happy to talk to you about your specific needs. Sometimes works and documents are small enough to be transported to my studio. On other occasions works have to be photographed in situ. In both instances I strive to ensure that my digital reproductions are as close to the original in every way.
My experience working in archives informs my practice so you can be rest assured your works are in good hands.
We can supply copies in any format or printed to whatever size you require.
Clients have their paintings and documents photographed for all manner of reasons. Artists often have paintings digitised for use in exhibition catalogues and publicity material. Sometimes fragile documents such as deeds and maps are digitised so they can be viewed online by people who wouldn’t normally have access to the original.
A digital copy of an item can also be seen as ‘back up’ if the original was ever lost or damaged. These images can also be used for insurance purposes.
