Photograph & Negative Scanning

Why scan negatives and prints?

Over time, all photographs and negatives will deteriorate, especially when stored in tins and boxes like many family photos are. The only way to capture them at their best is to scan them, creating a digital copy.

Creating a digital version of your photos also means you can share them easily online or even create new prints or photo books.

Why trust me with your photos/negatives?

In both my own practice and in working in the archive, I have gained a wealth of experience in digitising photographic prints and negatives of all kinds. I work with everything from 19th century glass plates to 35mm slides.

What can you scan?

  • 35mm film and slides

  • 120 film

  • Sheet film/Glass negatives

  • All sizes and types of prints

  • Something else? Get in touch

I can create digital versions of any format of negatives, slides and prints. The negatives shown here are just a sample of what I work with. If you can fit it in the post, I can make a digital copy of it for you!

If you’re looking to have digital copies made of large works or paintings click here.

How it works -

  1. It couldn’t be simpler - Click the ‘enquire’ button at the bottom of the page to tell me about the photographs and negatives you’re looking to have scanned and I’ll get back to with a quote for the job.

  2. If you wish to go ahead, simply pack up your photos and send them to me. (guidance on packing will be supplied).

  3. I’ll scan them, remove dust and clean them up and pop the digital versions onto a USB.

  4. I’ll post your photos/negatives back to you along with the USB. I will always use recorded delivery to ensure the safety of your items.
